Essential Job Functions

• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers at all times.
• Follow proper procedures for packaging customer orders and adhere to company policies outlined in the bagging manual.
• Fill bag racks and assist in stocking of milk and eggs.
• Unload shopping carts for customers and assist in keeping shopping carts in proper place at the front end.
• Assist cashiers in checking out customers efficiently.
• Retrieve stray carts from the parking lot.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work station and surrounding areas.
• Assist customers in locating products.
• Refrain from engaging in conversations with other associates while bagging orders.
• Understand and explain the ValuCard program.
• Assist in sweeping and mopping all store areas.
• Keep bathrooms clean and tidy.
• Help keep the parking lot and shopping carts litter-free.
• Work in the parcel pick-up area as directed.
• Return misplaced items to their proper locations.
• Collect trash and bale boxes as needed.
• Use the intercom properly.
• Understand shelf tags to assist with price changes.
• Stock merchandise appropriately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
