Job description

Essential Job Functions

1. Provide efficient and courteous service to customers at all times.
2. Follow proper procedures for packaging customer orders and adhere to the company's policies outlined in the bagging manual.
3. Fill bag racks and assist in stocking merchandise.
4. Unload shopping carts for customers and ensure carts are kept in proper place on the front end.
5. Assist cashiers in checking out customers efficiently.
6. Retrieve stray carts from the parking lot.
7. Maintain cleanliness of the work station and surrounding areas.
8. Assist in stocking milk, eggs, and other merchandise.
9. Help customers locate products.
10. Avoid carrying on conversations with other associates while bagging orders to ensure efficiency.
11. Understand and explain the ValuCard program.
12. Assist in sweeping and mopping all store areas.
13. Keep bathrooms neat and clean.
14. Help keep the parking lot and shopping cart area litter-free.
15. Work in the parcel pick-up area as directed.
16. Replace misplaced items to their proper locations.
17. Collect trash and bale boxes as needed.
18. Use the intercom properly.
19. Understand shelf tags to assist with price changes.
20. Stock merchandise appropriately.
21. Perform other duties as assigned.
