Essential Job Functions

• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers at all times.
• Follow proper procedures for packaging customer orders and adhere to the company's policies outlined in the bagging manual.
• Fill bag racks and unload shopping carts for customers.
• Assist in keeping shopping carts in their proper place at the front of the store.
• Help cashiers check out customers efficiently.
• Retrieve stray carts from the parking lot.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work station and surrounding areas.
• Assist in stocking milk and eggs, and help customers locate products.
• Avoid conversations with other associates while bagging orders.
• Understand and explain the ValuCard program.
• Assist in sweeping and mopping store areas.
• Keep bathrooms clean and tidy.
• Maintain litter-free parking lot and shopping cart areas.
• Work in the parcel pick-up area as directed.
• Return misplaced items to their proper locations.
• Collect trash and bale boxes as needed.
• Use the intercom properly.
• Understand shelf tags for price changes and stock merchandise accordingly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
