Essential Job Functions

• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers at all times.
• Follow proper procedures for packaging customer orders and adhere to the company's policies outlined in the bagging manual.
• Fill bag racks and assist in stocking merchandise.
• Unload shopping carts for customers and keep the shopping cart area organized.
• Assist cashiers in checking out customers efficiently.
• Retrieve stray carts from the parking lot and keep the parking lot litter-free.
• Assist in keeping the work station and all areas around it neat and clean, including sweeping and mopping.
• Help in stocking items such as milk and eggs and assist customers in locating products.
• Never carry on a conversation with another associate while bagging an order.
• Understand and explain the ValuCard program.
• Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms and assist in trash collection and bale boxes.
• Assist in working in the parcel pick-up area as directed.
• Replace misplaced items to their proper locations.
• Use the intercom properly and understand shelf tags for price changes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
