Job summary

New Jersey Judiciary seeks a seasoned manager to join the Mercer Vicinage Civil Division. You will supervise a paraprofessional and clerical team, lead workflow, monitor caseloads, and coordinate with judges, staff, attorneys, and litigants to improve processing and reduce backlog.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree and at least three years of paraprofessional or professional experience, including at least one year in case management or supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years paraprofessional/professional experience with at least 1 year in case management or supervision.
• Experience in enforcement of court orders and monitoring offenders is preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities to mentor staff and collaborate with judges and attorneys.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, assign, coordinate, evaluate, review, and lead a team of paraprofessional and clerical personnel.
• Monitor a caseload and ensure cases are processed efficiently to reduce backlog.
• Interact with judges, staff, attorneys and self-represented litigants; determine appropriate services for customers.
• Develop statistical reports and oversee projects.
• Identify and analyze complex problems; confer with team on procedures and regulations.
• Review trial calendars for completeness and accuracy; discuss status with judges.
• Perform other related duties; maintain regular and predictable presence at the worksite.
