Job summary

New Jersey Judiciary in New Jersey is seeking a Court Services Supervisor 1 to oversee a paraprofessional and clerical team focused on case management. The role supports the Civil Division and may involve remote work up to two days.

Under the Court Executive supervisors, this position ensures timely data entry, staff evaluations, and adherence to court procedures. Strong leadership and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; three years paraprofessional and/or professional experience in case management, enforcement of court orders, or supervision.
• Experience in supervising staff and coordinating case management activities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, manage, and plan the work activities of assigned team members.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of entry of documents into the Judiciary database.
• Conduct informal and formal evaluations of staff performance.
• Coach, train, and mentor staff.
• Recommend appropriate personnel actions (hire, promotion, discipline).
• Oversee proper implementation of operating procedures or systems including eCourts.
• Prepare and analyze technical, statistical or evaluation reports.
• Analyze cases to ensure court's compliance with rules and directives.
• Make recommendations to improve procedures and processes.
• Identify and resolve barriers to case disposition and quality service.
