Job summary

United States Courts in the Marshall Division of the Eastern District of Texas seeks an Information Technology Technician to deliver frontline IT support to court staff, the bar, judges and the public. You will install and maintain PCs, printers, and software, assist with courtroom technology tasks, and troubleshoot complex issues while prioritizing training and excellent service.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service, sound judgment and familiarity with Windows 11 Pro, Windows Server

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of IT experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Strong customer service and multi-tasking in a fast-paced setting.
  • Familiarity with VMware vSphere, Horizon, thin clients and MDM platforms.
  • Initiative to learn new programs quickly and secure AD environments.
  • IT certifications relevant to an IT Technician.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, upgrade, and troubleshoot PCs, printers, scanners, and IT equipment.
  • Provide excellent customer service to court staff, the bar, Judges and the public.
  • Explain technical concepts clearly and maintain confidentiality.
  • Administer Microsoft Windows 11 Pro, Windows Server and Microsoft 365.
  • Collaborate within a team and support courtroom technology tasks.
  • Train users and handle diverse IT issues with discretion.
