Job summary

Sarasota County Government is seeking an IT Professional I to support end-user computing and courtroom technology in the Twelfth Judicial Circuit. The role covers PCs, mobile devices, printers, and court software; includes onboarding/offboarding, hardware staging, and Help Desk duties.

Expect to assist in courtroom A/V, maintain inventories, generate lifecycle reports, and collaborate with county IT staff. Regular hours are 40 per week, with on-call rotation and possible shift flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Progressively responsible professional experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required degree.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot PCs, laptops, cell phones, printers, copiers, and peripheral components.
• Resolve inquiries submitted in person, by phone, email, or through the Help Desk ticketing system in a timely manner.
• Document diagnostics and resolutions within the Help Desk knowledge base.
• Install, configure, and update Microsoft 365 apps and court software.
• Lead onboarding/offboarding, hardware staging, and user accounts.
• Coordinate software installations provided by external IT departments onto Circuit workstations.
• Provide direct in-courtroom technical assistance to judges, attorneys, and staff for uninterrupted proceedings.
• Manage daily operation of courtroom systems including audio-visual equipment.
• Maintain hardware/software inventory databases and perform secure disposal.
• Produce reports for hardware refresh and lifecycle planning.
• Deliver training to Circuit employees on end-user hardware, software, and A/V equipment.
