Job summary

The New York State Unified Court System is hiring for an Assistant Court Analyst to manage accounts payable in the Statewide Financial System (SFS) and process invoices and vouchers for payment. You will support budgeting efforts, coordinate with judges, employees, vendors, and the public, and perform daily cash audits.

The role requires either one year in the Assistant Court Analyst title or a relevant degree with experience, or a Master’s in Public/Business Administration.

Qualifications

• One year in the Assistant Court Analyst title, or a Bachelor's degree with one year of related experience.
• Master's degree in Public or Business Administration from an accredited college or university.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and enter purchase orders in the Statewide Financial System (SFS).
• Enter and approve invoices and vouchers in SFS for payment.
• Prepare and enter a wide variety of accounts payable and travel transactions in SFS.
• Communicate with outside vendors.
• Correspond with department supervisors to assess needs.
• Daily cash/check audits.
• Assist with developing and tracking agency budget.
• Schedule and verify deliveries and assist with all finance-related inquiries from Judges, employees, suppliers and the public.
