Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is hiring married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus homes, supervising a group of 8–13 students and supporting their academic, emotional, and social development.

Tthe role begins with nine days on duty, followed by three days off, with transition to a Placed Houseparent role where you live with the same group of students. Benefits include housing and meals on duty, relocation support, and more.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Spouses both aged 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and engaging in developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
