Job summary

Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents on our campus in Hershey, PA. Couples live in on-campus student homes and support 8-13 students, guiding their academic, emotional, and social development.

Roles begin with nine days on duty followed by three days off, with the pathway to a Placed Houseparent role. Compensation includes housing, meals, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person married couple for at least two years.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental and recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.

Skills

Experience with youth

Ability to lift 50 lbs

Valid U.S. driver’s license
