Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples live in on-campus student homes and mentor a group of 8-13 students, providing a structured, family-like environment to support academic, emotional, and social growth.

Responsibilities include supervising, scheduling, administering medications, driving to activities, leading daily devotions, and budgeting. The role starts with nine days on, three off, then progresses to a placed home.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and support student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
