Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, invites married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents, living on campus and supervising a group of 8–13 students in a home setting.

Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, driving to activities, leading devotions, budgeting, and reporting. The position starts with nine days on, three off and leads to a Placed Houseparent role.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
