Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, supervising and guiding a group of 8–13 students to support academic, emotional, and social growth.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, scheduling, medications, driving to activities, devotions, and weekly budgeting. Initially, nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses age 27 or older.
• US driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
• Initially support multiple homes; nine days on, three days off.
• Transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group.
