The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Family & Children Services, seeks a County Director 4 for Albany, Dougherty County, Georgia. You will oversee Child Welfare Services and the administrative operations of a Class 4 DFCS county office, guiding policy and program delivery to protect children and families.

Responsibilities include budgeting, supervising staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, and building partnerships with the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related area with four years’ experience, including two in managing subordinate managers in human services.
• Bachelor’s degree with two years of experience at the lower level County Director 3 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Child Welfare Services and admin operations of a Class 4 county DFCS office.
• Lead policy administration and ensure child safety and service provision to children and families.
• Direct subordinate managers and staff.
• Develop and administer budgets.
• Promote collaboration with community and other agencies.
• Hire, train, evaluate staff and take disciplinary actions if needed.

Education
