Job summary

NAPA is seeking an Automotive Parts Specialist to provide parts for fleet customers, answer questions, and deliver outstanding service in a fast-paced environment.

You will source parts, verify availability, and support fellow team members while maintaining strong knowledge of auto parts. Valid driver's license and a willingness to learn are required; ASE is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Experience in a parts store or automotive industry preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong listening skills and empathy for customers.
• Willingness to learn automotive parts and terminology.

As a NAPA Automotive Parts Specialist, you don’t have to be able to tear a motor down and rebuild it (however, if you can, that’s awesome), however it is preferred to have a background and knowledge of automotive parts. What you will be doing:

• Provide and source parts for specialized equipment for our fleet customers Use your parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members and answer questions for customers Provide outstanding customer service and interact with management and technicians Bring customer focus and high energy to our fast-paced environment.
• Ask appropriate questions to ensure correct parts are researched and sourced.
• Inform customers on parts availability.

What you’ll need:

• Valid Driver’s License
• Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry or at least a willingness to learn all things auto parts
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical or Trade school courses or degree
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Great listening skills and empathy for customer
• Ability to work on or around an airport environment in a shop environment

And if you have this, even better (not a deal breaker if you don’t):

• Background and/or passion for automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership
• Experience in airport ground support equipment
• Knowledge of cataloging, sourcing, AND/OR inventory management systems, a plus
• Entirely customer-centric (external/internal)
• ASE Certifications
