Job summary

Prime-Building-Components is seeking a self-driven Counter Sales Associate to assist in day-to-day operations within our retail stores, including sales, estimating, and customer service.

Ideal candidates will have a customer-service background, willingness to learn product lines, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and delivering solutions that meet customer needs, with opportunities to grow within the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience with customer service preferred.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to computer software systems.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Positive attitude and desire to work as a team player.
• Ability for cross training in other areas of the plant.
• Follow safety procedures including the proper use of PPE.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, friendly, and responsive customer service over phone, email, and in person.
• Develop understanding of customer projects, identify needs, and recommend products and solutions.
• Recommend add-on products and upsell opportunities to help customers complete projects.
• Maintain strong product knowledge to advise customers and assist with issues.
• Support team with customer transactions and daily operations as needed.
• Identify sales leads, manage prospects, and pursue new business opportunities.
• Conduct cold calls and proactive outreach to expand the customer base.
• Monitor market trends and provide leadership with recommendations to grow market share.
• Follow supervisor directions and complete tasks timely and professionally.
