Job summary

TAL Building Centers is seeking a customer-focused Sales Associate to greet customers, answer questions, and guide them to the right products to complete their projects with smart recommendations.

You will process orders, assist with returns, maintain showroom displays, stock shelves, and work with inside sales to grow store accounts. Prior sales experience helps, but is not required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years sales experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
• Good understanding of contractor sales process.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and POS programs.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist and service customers to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Answer customers’ questions on products and assist with selection of products for their project.
• Process customers’ orders and payments; assist with returns.
• Maintain showroom and stock shelves; keep literature current.
• Assist with quotes, larger estimates and upsell opportunities with inside sales.
