Job summary

Ferguson is hiring a Counter Sales Representative in Poway, CA. You will advise customers on the best products, process orders, and operate a cash register. Maintain store appearance and assist with stock, while following safety protocols.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of customer service or sales experience, basic product knowledge, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. The role features a Monday–Friday schedule and local wage opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of products is preferred.
• General computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required.
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
• General math skills to allow for cash accounting.

Responsibilities

• Provides advice to customers regarding the best products to fit their needs
• Processing orders via order management system
• Operate cash registers and follow established cash handling procedures
• Prepare and stage orders for customer pick up
• Maintain store appearance and merchandising standards as advised
• Ensure that merchandise is restocked and placed in their respective areas
• Maintain a safe working environment including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Must adhere to all safety regulations, including PPE usage

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Maintain store appearance and merchandising standards as advised
• Ensure that merchandise is restocked and placed in their respective areas
• Maintain a safe working environment including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of customer service or sales experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of products is preferred
• General computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise
• General math skills to allow for cash accounting
• An ability to learn is a must have!
• Excellent decision making and communication skills

Pay Range:

$15.00 - $29.19

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
