Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, LLC is seeking a Counter Sales Representative to assist customers with product selection, process orders, and manage cash transactions. The role emphasizes safe handling, accurate math, and efficient merchandising in a busy hardware-supply environment.

Qualified candidates will have 1–3 years experience, basic product knowledge, and the ability to lift up to 50lbs. Pre-employment screening is required and local wage variability may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provides advice to customers regarding the best products to fit their needs.
• Processing orders via order management system.
• Operate cash registers and follow established cash handling procedures.
• Prepare and stage orders for customer pick up.
• Maintain store appearance and merchandising standards as advised.
• Ensure that merchandise is restocked and placed in their respective areas.
• Maintain a safe working environment including PPE.

Responsibilities:

• Provides advice to customers regarding the best products to fit their needs
• Processing orders via order management system
• Operate cash registers and follow established cash handling procedures

• Maintain store appearance and merchandising standards as advised
• Ensure that merchandise is restocked and placed in their respective areas
• Maintain a safe working environment including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of products is preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• General computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise
• General math skills to allow for cash accounting
• An ability to learn is a must have!
• Excellent decision making and communication skills
• *Pre-employment drug and background screening required*

Pay Range:

• - $15.00 - $23.85
• Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
• This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
• Ferguson complies with all wage regulations.
• The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
