Capital Electric, a Capital Electric distributor in Frederick, MD, is hiring a Counter Sales associate to sell products, assist with selections, and build relationships with customers. You will handle calls, greet walk-ins, and process sales at the counter, aiming to meet monthly sales and gross margin goals while promoting promotions.

The position requires at least a high school diploma or GED, strong math and communication skills, and basic MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Sales experience and/or electrical knowledge preferred, but training provided.
• Good math, verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer and MS Office literate.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming customer phone calls.
• Greet walk-in customers.
• Assist customer with order and provide appropriate product selection.
• Pick customer order from warehouse and bring to counter.
• Prepare customer sales ticket and charge accordingly.
• Promote and sell company's product promotions.
• Provide assistance to certain warehouse functions.
• Reach monthly goals in sales and gross margin.
• Courtesy and politeness toward customers.
• Multi-task and continually prioritize tasks to be completed throughout the day.
• Other duties as required.
