Job summary

Cooper Electric Supply, LLC, a member of the Sonepar family, is seeking a customer-focused counter sales associate in Burlington, NJ. You’ll greet customers, process orders, and help with product selection in a fast-paced retail environment.

You’ll enter sales orders, pick items, collect payments, maintain displays, and work toward monthly sales and gross margin goals while using digital tools to support customers.

Qualifications

• Sales experience and/or electrical knowledge preferred.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong mathematics, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate computers and relevant software.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet walk-in customers and assist with orders.
• Enter sales orders and pick items from warehouse.
• Prepare sales tickets and collect payments.
• Handle phone-in customers with courteous etiquette.
• Maintain counter area displays, clean, organized and stocked.
• Reach monthly goals in sales and gross margin.
• Encourage the use of digital tools across customers.
• Multi-task and prioritize tasks throughout the day.
