Job summary

HTS Engineering Ltd. is a leading HVAC parts and service provider seeking a friendly sales associate to greet customers, process transactions and drive upsells at our Dallas-area store.

You will use POS and order-entry software, assist with will calls, deliveries and promotions while maintaining inventory accuracy and strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical or trade education is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Sales minded with the confidence to recommend products and support store goals.
• Ability to learn technical product lines quickly and share knowledge with customers.
• Previous sales or service experience in AC/Heating or Refrigeration equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers promptly and courteously at the sales counter
• Answer incoming customer telephone calls and provide customer service, including will call, special orders and deliveries
• Uses the software to provide information on pricing, availability and alternate product selection to complete the customer transactions
• Process sales transactions accurately using POS (point-of-sale) systems and handle cash or electronic payments
• Suggest additional and related items to the customer’s order.
• Resolves customer problems promptly and accurately in a manner that will retain and promote customer loyalty
• Assists the customer with loading product into the customer vehicle
• Maintain inventory by restocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and reporting discrepancies
• Coordinate with warehouse and delivery teams to ensure timely order fulfillment
• Participates in required training to ensure proper compliance of HAZMAT and refrigerant handling when processing transactions
• Supports promotional activities and upsell products to meet sales targets
• Processes warranty claims for defective product
• Other duties as assigned by management
• High school diploma or equivalent; Technical or trade education is a plus

• Previous experience in sales or service of AC/Heating or Refrigeration equipment and parts is preferred. However, other industrial type sales such as hardware, electrical, plumbing, building materials, automotive parts, etc. will be considered
• 1 year of warehouse/material handling experience preferred
• Comfortable using POS systems, order entry software, and basic computer applications
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and perform light physical tasks such as lifting merchandise
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Bilingual (Spanish) abilities to assist a diverse customer base is preferred but not required
• Must have a professional appearance and attitude
