Job summary

Behavioral Health Network, Inc. is seeking an admissions and intake counselor to perform screenings, assist in developing treatment plans, and meet with clients weekly to ensure goals are met and resources are identified. You will document outcomes, educate individuals and groups about alcohol and drug abuse, harm reduction, and available community resources, and coordinate referrals for ongoing aftercare.

Shift: Tuesday–Saturday, 12pm–8:30pm. Pay: $25.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Associate's Degree or higher in related field preferred.
• At least one year of experience in substance abuse or behavioral health counseling.
• Familiarity with Internet, word processing and email systems.
• Ability to complete accurate and detailed documentation.

• Perform admission and intake screenings.
• Assist in developing treatment plans.
• Meet with clients weekly to ensure goals are being met and determine areas in need of additional resources and attention.
• Assess the outcome of treatment planning, adjusting treatment approaches accordingly, and documenting according to established expectations.
• Educating individuals & groups regarding alcohol and drug abuse, harm reduction, mental illness and available community and self-help resources.
• Assist in coordinating referrals for ongoing aftercare treatment with agencies and services and facilitating individual's responsibility and participation in aftercare planning.
