Job summary

Prestonwood Pregnancy Center seeks a licensed counselor to provide intake assessments and biblical, Christ-centered counseling. You will develop care plans, track progress, and coordinate with the Director of Client Services to ensure quality care.

Responsibilities include leading groups, teaching classes online and in person, and training staff and volunteers. You will work Monday–Friday with occasional evenings and Saturdays, focusing on compassionate, pro-life support for clients.

Job description

Provides counseling services to clients of the Prestonwood Pregnancy Center (“PPC”).Responsibilities:Administer intake assessments and counsel clients from a Biblical, Christ-centered perspectiveMaintain detailed, accurate, and confidential client records in accordance with PPC policies and applicable lawsDevelop care plans with clients including goals, referrals, and follow-up appointmentsTrack client progress and follow up on missed appointments or referrals to ensure continuity of careParticipate in periodic case reviews with the Director of Client Services and other counseling staff to ensure quality and consistency of careDevelop curriculum for and lead groups surrounding relevant issuesTeach classes online and in person to clientsProvide training to staff and volunteers as neededRecognize and respond to situations which require reporting to local police and/or Child Protective ServicesBuild relationships with appropriate referral resources available to clientsModel excellence in all areasOther duties as assignedRequirements:Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of a Bible believing and preaching ministryPro-life in word and pro-love in actionLPC, LCSW or LMFTFamiliar with and knowledgeable of perinatal mental health issuesStrong crisis intervention skillsKnowledgeable of appropriate referral resources available to clientsComfortable with individual and group counselingAbility to work independently and maintain a high degree of confidentialityExperience working with or directing volunteers helpfulStrong written and oral communication skillsIntermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office productsAbility to work at a desk with a computer screen for extended periods of time, while occasionally performing physical activities requiring moving one’s whole body, such as walking, stooping, pushing/pulling a cart, and lifting up to 10 pounds without assistanceAbility to work a Monday – Friday schedule with flexibility to include approximately two evenings per week, one Saturday per month, and PPC scheduled events
