Dialpad is seeking a Corporate Counsel for Telecommunications & Regulatory to guide regulatory compliance for its AI-powered platform in San Ramon, CA. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Operations to ensure UCaaS/CCaaS offerings meet evolving federal and state requirements.

The ideal candidate has 4–8 years of experience in telecom regulation, familiarity with FCC rules, and a strong ability to translate complex laws into product disclosures and workflows.

Qualifikationen

• Four to eight years of legal experience with telecommunications regulatory matters (law firm, carrier, UCaaS company, or regulator).
• Demonstrated familiarity with FCC rules, the Communications Act, and their application to VoIP/cloud providers.
• Experience advising on call recording consent law (CIPA, ECPA, two-party consent).
• Working knowledge of TCPA and FTSA to identify platform-level exposure and mitigation strategies.
• Familiarity with AI governance frameworks and state AI legislation; ability to adapt as regulation evolves.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory analysis into actionable guidance for non-legal business stakeholders.

Aufgaben

• Telecommunications Regulatory Compliance: serve as expert on FCC/state PUC frameworks for UCaaS/CCaaS, including filings and interconnection requirements.
• Voice, Messaging & AI Compliance: advise on call recording consent, TCPA/FTSA, and disclosures; review AI features for compliance.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: advise on product reviews, contracts, and RFPs; assistSales and Customer Success on regulatory questions.
• Legal Operations & Scalability: develop consent/disclosure matrix across jurisdictions; train teams; leverage AI research tools.
