Job summary

Dialpad, the AI platform for customer experience, is seeking a Corporate Counsel, Telecommunications & Regulatory, to partner with Product, Engineering, Sales and Operations in building scalable compliance infrastructure. This role reports to the Deputy General Counsel and may be based in the Bay Area office.

You will advise on FCC/state regulatory frameworks, TCPA/FTSA exposure, call recording consent laws, AI governance, and state AI transparency laws, ensuring product disclosures and customer

Qualifications

• 4-8+ years of legal experience with telecommunications regulatory matters.
• Experience interpreting FCC rules and the Communications Act for VoIP/cloud providers.
• Practical experience advising on call recording consent law and platform liability.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Company’s regulatory expert for FCC/state rules affecting UCaaS/CCaaS.
• Advise on TCPA/FTSA exposure and platform vs customer liability.
• Oversee call recording consent, AI governance, and state AI transparency compliance.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, sales, and operations to embed compliance.
• Coordinate with outside counsel on multi-jurisdictional regulatory matters.
