Job summary

Dialpad is seeking a Corporate Counsel, Product & Privacy in San Francisco, CA. You will advise on privacy, security, and regulatory obligations as AI-powered products are designed, launched, and scaled, partnering with Product, Engineering, Security, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.

You will build frameworks and guardrails to keep the platform enterprise-ready, addressing GDPR/CCPA/HIPAA, cross-border transfers, and incident response in collaboration with the Deputy General Counsel.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and license to practice in at least one U.S. state.
• 5–8 years of privacy, product-counseling, and regulatory experience.
• Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and HIPAA.
• Experience translating legal requirements for product and engineering teams.
• CIPP/US or CIPP/E is a plus.

Responsibilities

• AI governance & product counseling across the product lifecycle, including data usage and model governance.
• Global privacy & data protection program support (GDPR/CCPA/HIPAA), DPIAs and incident response.
• Telecom & regulatory coordination on call-recording and consent in product features.
• Security partnerships on certifications and privacy controls.
• Commercial & marketing enablement on privacy terms and tracking/compliance.
• IP & legal operations support and policy development.
