Our client is a major, long standing global investment management firm.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Funds Counsel will be based in the Client’s NYC office and will work closely with the Client’s leadership team members to advise on various legal matters relating to the activities of the firm and specifically, the firm’s private funds business.

Responsibilities may include:

• Drafting and review of documents related to new private fund/product structuring and launches (including offering memorandums, limited partnership agreements, subscription documents and side letters) and assisting with ongoing fund matters, marketing materials (US and foreign), private fund regulatory issues and other investor relations items;

• Assisting on general corporate matters as necessary;

• Assisting with regulatory and compliance matters as necessary

“MUST HAVE” QUALIFICATIONS

• J.D. from top law school required along with strong academic track record;

• 4-8 years of total combined relevant experience within a top law firm and alternative investment fund or financial institution;

• Professional and trustworthy with confidential and sensitive information;

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal);

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, well organized, and proven ability to multi-task;

• Able to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

• Must be a self-starter, independent worker and quick learner
