shawnee gardenshrc is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. You will work under supervision to deliver individualized treatment, promote independence, and support residents in achieving rehab goals through interventions and education.

You will document progress, coordinate with the care team, and guide residents in adaptive techniques and home exercise programs, facilitating safe daily activities and improving quality of life.

Competenze

• Experience or knowledge of rehabilitation services in skilled nursing or post-acute care.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to adapt treatment per patient needs.
• Effective communication with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Prioritize responsibilities and maintain accurate, timely documentation.
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented patient care.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to use, modify, and assist with adaptive and therapeutic equipment.
• Willingness to travel between facilities as required.

Mansioni

• Provide individualized OT interventions based on established treatment plans and patient-specific goals.
• Guide residents through therapeutic exercises and functional activities to improve strength, coordination, mobility, and independence in daily tasks.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and document progress, functional changes, and observations.
• Coordinate patient care with occupational therapists, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team.
• Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques, assistive devices, safety strategies, and home exercise programs.
• Assist patients with dressing, grooming, hygiene, and activities of daily living.
• Incorporate therapeutic tools and equipment to support functional improvement.
• Prepare, sanitize, organize, and maintain treatment supplies and equipment.
• Encourage patient participation, motivation, and confidence throughout rehabilitation.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and provide updates on progress and needs.
