Job summary

PACS is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide patient-focused therapy under the supervision of an OT. You will document treatment progress, follow physician plans, and support discharge planning within a post-acute care environment.

The role requires proficiency with Casamba and Point Click Care, strong communication with the care team, and the ability to train Restorative Aides and family caregivers.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state.
• Proficient in computer systems used for documentation and patient data entry.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist per plan.
• Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes as required.
• Follow physician treatment plans for patient care.
• Assist nursing staff with training of Restorative Aides.
• Communicate patient progress and plans with supervisor and health team members.
• Participate in in-services and staff training activities.
• Document evaluations, recertifications, and policy-based changes.
• Instruct families and nursing staff on maintenance and caregiver training for discharge.
• Participate in discharge planning and care transitions.
• Maintain and clean treatment area and equipment.
• Report problems with department equipment promptly.
