Job summary

Highland Palms Healthcare Center is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to help residents regain independence and improve quality of life. You will implement individualized plans, lead therapeutic activities, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a supportive rehab setting.

The role emphasizes safety, progress monitoring, and documentation, with opportunities for professional growth and meaningful, patient-centered care in a skilled nursing

Qualifications

• Current COTA license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Assist residents with therapeutic activities and exercises.
• Teach adaptive daily living techniques.
• Monitor progress and document outcomes.
• Collaborate with therapy, nursing and interdisciplinary teams.
• Encourage and motivate residents throughout rehab.

What You'll Do

• Implementing individualized treatment plans
• Assisting residents with therapeutic activities and exercises
• Teaching adaptive techniques for daily living skills
• Monitoring resident progress and documenting outcomes
• Collaborating with therapy, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams
• Encouraging and motivating residents throughout their rehabilitation journey
• Promoting safety, independence, and quality of life

What We're Looking For

• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for helping others reach their goals
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or post-acute care is preferred but not required
