Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to carry out best practice treatments under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist. The COTA will implement goals set by the OT and document progress in a timely manner.

Experience in long-term or geriatric care is preferred. The role emphasizes collaboration with the rehab team, strong documentation, and professional conduct, with opportunities for growth within the rehabilitation department.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid professional license and state registration.
• Provide comprehensive treatment under supervision of Occupational Therapist.
• Experience in long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient-centered treatment and care.

Responsibilities

• Provide feedback to supervising OT via documentation or facility policy.
• Document patient progress on a weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
