Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to work under OT supervision and deliver goal-focused treatments. You will document patient progress weekly and collaborate with all disciplines to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

The role emphasizes professionalism, punctuality, strong documentation, and the ability to perform duties as directed by the Director of Rehabilitation. Prior long-term or geriatric care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment under supervision of OT.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care preferred.
• Strong documentation writing skills.
• Document patient progress weekly.
• Collaborate with all disciplines for best patient-centered care.
• Demonstrate exceptional patient service and professionalism.
• Adhere to schedule and report to supervision on time.
• Perform duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under OT supervision.
• Provide treatment aligned with goals set by OT.
• Document and provide feedback to supervising OT.
• Collaborate with all disciplines for patient-centered care.
• Document patient progress in weekly notes.
• Demonstrate clinical excellence and patient service.
• Adhere to schedule and professional standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.
