Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to perform evidence-based therapies under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. You will implement treatment plans, document progress weekly, and collaborate with the rehab team to ensure patient-centered care in a long-term care setting.

The role emphasizes timely documentation, professional conduct, and punctuality, with duties as directed by the Director of Rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Occupational Therapist.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under the supervision of the OT.
• Provide feedback to the supervising occupational therapist via documentation or as required by facility policy.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient-centered treatment and care.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.
