Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide therapy under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. The role emphasizes delivering best practice treatments, timely progress notes, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered care.

Ideal candidates hold a valid COTA license and have experience in long-term or geriatric care.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Occupational Therapist.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation

Responsibilities

• Carry out treatments under supervision of the OT.
• Provide feedback to supervising OT via documentation.
• Collaborate with disciplines to deliver patient-centered care.
• Maintain punctuality and professionalism in all duties.
• Assist with ongoing rehabilitation tasks as directed by supervisor.
