Job summary

Fairfield Memorial Hospital is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our Therapy Services team. You will assist with therapeutic treatments, guide patients in functional activities, and help them achieve greater independence under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities include administering treatments, observing responses, documenting progress, and supporting department operations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Illinois State Licensure as a COTA.
• Experience in a clinical or hospital therapy setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer therapeutic treatments including exercises and modalities.
• Instruct and motivate patients in transfers, mobility, and daily living skills.
• Observe and document patient responses and report progress to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Collaborate to coordinate and modify treatment plans.
• Perform clerical tasks and manage inventory; support equipment use and dept ops.
• Uphold safety, professionalism and patient confidentiality.
