Job summary

Fairfield Memorial Hospital Association in Fairfield, Illinois, seeks a certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support our Therapy Services team. The COTA provides hands-on therapeutic treatments, guides patients in functional activities, and contributes to treatment planning under an OT's supervision.

You will document progress, assist with equipment use, and maintain safety and quality care across life spans.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in an accredited OTA program and Illinois licensure as a COTA.
• Experience in a clinical or hospital therapy setting preferred.
• Proficient in therapeutic exercise and functional training; strong documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer active/passive exercises and modalities under supervision.
• Instruct patients in transfers, mobility, and ADLs.
• Document progress and report to the supervising OT.
• Fit orthopedic devices and train patients in use.
• Collaborate with therapists and staff to adjust plans.
• Perform clerical tasks and maintain equipment safety.
