Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to implement best-practice treatments under the supervision of an OT. The COTA will follow goals set by the OT and document patient progress in line with facility policy.

The role emphasizes collaboration with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care and requires punctuality and professionalism in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Occupational Therapist.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing.

Responsibilities

• The COTA will provide treatment by adhering to specific goals developed by the OT.
• Provide feedback to the supervising occupational therapist via documentation or other facility policy methods.
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient-centered treatment and care.
