Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Associate Director of Cost Management to lead cost management services on a major manufacturing and life sciences construction program. The role oversees client engagement, stakeholder management, and the delivery of cost management throughout the project lifecycle.

The candidate will provide commercial leadership, supervise a cost management team, and drive best practices while ensuring high-quality reporting and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in cost management within the construction industry.
• Experience supporting life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, laboratory, manufacturing, industrial or complex construction projects.
• Construction consultancy experience preferred.
• SME in Quantity Surveying with RICS certification or equivalent preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cost planning, estimating, cost control, change management, procurement and contract administration.
• Experience managing client relationships, project stakeholders, and cost management teams.
• Excellent presentation, verbal, written, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost management services for a major construction program including life sciences development.
• Interface with client, stakeholders and consultants at all project stages.
• Perform quantity surveying, cost controls and change management throughout the lifecycle.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate strategic and operational management of Cost Management and Project Controls Services.
• Develop and report on overall commercial status and KPIs.
