Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Hillsboro, OR is seeking an experienced Associate Director Cost Management to lead cost management on a major life sciences construction program. You will oversee client engagement, manage stakeholders, and ensure delivery of cost management services across the project lifecycle.

This role requires a strong background in cost planning, change management, and procurement, with leadership experience and accountability for project financial performance and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years in a cost management role within construction.
• Experience supporting life sciences, pharma, biotech, or lab manufacturing projects.
• Construction consultancy experience preferred.
• RICS certification or equivalent accreditation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cost planning, estimating, cost control, change management, procurement, and contract administration.
• Experience managing client relationships, project stakeholders, and cost management teams.
• Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost management services on a major construction program and supervise the cost team.
• Interface with client, stakeholders, and consultants at all project stages.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and external parties throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform quantity surveying, cost controls, and change management activities.
• Coordinate reporting on the commercial status of projects and KPIs.
• Support procurement strategy and cost reporting for program-level capital planning.
