Job summary

NV2A Group LLC, a MasTec company, is seeking a Cost Engineer in Miami, FL to provide technical engineering information and project controls support. You will work with Project Managers, Craft Supervisors and functional managers to ensure design and construction meet standards while contributing to cost, schedule, and estimating activities.

The role requires a Bachelor of Science in engineering and 1–2 years of construction experience; MEP exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited university.
• 1–2 years of construction experience.
• Prior experience with MEP projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand technical drawings and specifications for industrial construction.
• Interpret design drawings for crafts installing material and prepare field design change requisitions.
• Coordinate with subcontract language, scope, and technical requirements.
• Plan and develop construction work packages for civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and process plant systems.
• Support the Construction Manager in analyzing and reporting daily subcontractor progress.
• Assist in expediting design development and scheduling to meet contract terms.
