Job summary

MasTec is seeking a Cost Engineer in our Florida-based operations to provide technical engineering information to project managers and supervisors. The role includes cost control, scheduling, estimating, and subcontract oversight across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and process plant systems.

Requires a BS in engineering and 1–2 years of construction experience. Ideal candidates will understand MEP project needs, possess strong Excel/Office skills, and be able to support project

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering from an accredited university.
• 1–2 years of construction experience required.
• Prior experience with MEP projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand technical drawings and specifications for industrial construction.
• Interpret design/drawings for crafts installing material; prepare field design change requisitions and as-built drawings.
• Comprehend subcontract language, scope, terms and technical requirements.
• Plan and develop construction work packages for civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and process plant systems.
• Understand project schedules and required predecessors/successors.
