Job summary

LFGroup.ai in Menlo Park, CA is seeking a Cost Accounting Analyst to manage project and site cost accounting. You will record construction-in-progress, coordinate with the Controller on capitalized vs expensed costs, and prepare accruals for work billed or unpaid.

The role requires 2–4 years accounting experience, strong spreadsheet skills, a Bachelor's in accounting, ERP billing experience, and CPA progress toward it.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of accounting experience.
• Strong spreadsheet and Microsoft Office skills.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Experience with the billing module of an ERP.

Responsibilities

• Record construction-in-progress and advise on capitalized vs expensed costs.
• Prepare accruals for work completed but not yet invoiced.
• Book and manage journal entries for cost accounting.
• Track project costs by site, project and cost code with finance.
• Analyze operating costs and explain variances; respond to audits.
