Job summary

LFG designs, builds and manages power infrastructure for compute systems and utility providers. The Cost Accounting Analyst will manage the cost accounting of the company; this role will track and analyze the accounting side of construction and operating costs by site and project.

This on-site role in Menlo Park requires 2–4 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and a CPA or progress toward it.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of accounting experience.
• Strong spreadsheet and Microsoft Office skills.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• CPA or progress toward it

Responsibilities

• Record construction-in-progress and advise on capitalized vs expensed costs.
• Prepare accruals for completed work not yet invoiced.
• Book and manage journal entries for cost accounting.
• Track project costs against budget by site, project and cost code.
• Analyze operating costs (power, maintenance, labor) and explain variances.
• Respond to audit requests about project costs.
