Job summary

LHH, a national manufacturing company in the Eau Claire area, is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their team. The role partners with the Accounting Manager on month-end close and supports cost analysis across design, materials, and production processes.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and have at least two years of cost accounting experience, with strong communication skills to interact with upper management and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of cost accounting experience.
• Ability to interact and communicate with upper-level management daily.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Accounting Manager on month/year end close procedures.
• Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services to determine cost effects.
• Analyzes actual production costs and prepares periodic variance reports.
• Assist with forecasting and budgeting for division.
• Maintain fixed asset registers.
• Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts related to inventory.
• Provide support for other accounting functions when needed.

• Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs.
• Analyzes actual production costs and prepares periodic reports on variances
• Assist with forecasting and budgeting for division
• Maintain fixed asset registers
• Analyze and reconcile the general ledger accounts related to inventory
• Provide support for other accounting functions when needed

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• At least 2 years of relevant (cost accounting) experience
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to interact and communicate with upper-level management on a daily basis
