Job summary

LHH is seeking a Cost Accountant to join the Finance team in Brunswick, GA. You will support manufacturing operations through accurate product costing, inventory analysis, financial reporting, and operational decision support.

You will partner with plant leadership, operations, and supply chain to identify cost-saving opportunities and strengthen financial controls, while participating in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or related field.
• 3–4+ years of cost accounting or operations finance experience.
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems and standard costing methodologies.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard costs for new and existing products.
• Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances and provide recommendations.
• Support inventory valuation, reconciliations, and monthly close activities.
• Review manufacturing and production data for costing accuracy.
• Prepare reports related to manufacturing costs, inventory, and production performance.
• Assist with cycle count processes and inventory control initiatives.
• Collaborate with plant operations, supply chain, and finance teams.
• Support audits, financial reporting, and continuous improvement projects.
