Job summary

• Experience with complex product costing (inventory and materials).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review labor cost, material costs, manufacturing overhead, distribution cost, returns and inventory levels.
• Oversee monthly plant close, journal entries, reconciliations and internal controls.
• Document and understand ERP systems, hardware, and reporting conventions.
• Analyze internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate reporting.
• Ensure GAAP adherence and resolve GAAP/internal control questions with corporate finance.
• Assist in preparation and analysis of financial reports.

Cost Accounting Manager Position in Southern Milwaukee Suburbs

We are looking for a Cost Accounting Manager that will be a business partner with plant and financial management to effectively manage and control manufacturing operations. The candidate will be expected to deliver high quality, accurate results, while efficiently maintaining and enhancing existing organizational systems and standards. Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Review labor reporting and cost, material costs, manufacturing overhead, distribution cost, returns and inventory levels
• Oversee the monthly closing and consolidation process for the plant, including review ofjournals entries, account reconciliations prepared as part of the close, internal controls and other closing related procedures
• Document and understand ERP systems, hardware, and reporting conventions.
• Analyze internal controls to ensure assets are adequately safeguarded and results are accurately reported
• Assure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Policies. Resolve questions of GAAP and internal controls with corporate financial management
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum four years of experience in manufacturing/cost accounting
• Experience with complex product costing (inventory and materials)
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
