Job summary

Allied Interiors Group is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to manage cost accounting activities, analyze manufacturing costs, and support accurate financial reporting. The role collaborates with Finance, Operations, Procurement, and other departments to monitor costs, identify variances, and provide actionable insights to management.

Responsibilities include standard and actual cost analysis, monthly cost statements, inventory valuation, month-end closings, and maintenance of costing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably cost accounting in manufacturing.
• Strong cost accounting, inventory, and financial reporting knowledge.
• Experience with standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory reconciliation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and analyze standard and actual cost information.
• Prepare and analyze monthly cost accounting reports and manufacturing cost statements.
• Monitor inventory valuation, including raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
• Perform monthly inventory and cost reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Develop and maintain standard costs and update costing models as required.
• Analyze product profitability, margins, and cost trends.
• Review production costs and manufacturing overhead for accuracy.
• Manage the physical inventory process.
• Act as the Finance liaison for Business Intelligence & Reporting.
• Support internal and external audits by providing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls and improve cost-accounting processes.
• Prepare ad hoc financial and cost analyses for management as needed.
• Other responsibilities as required.
