Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cost Accountant to join our manufacturing team. In this critical role, you will own cost accounting processes, ensure accurate financial reporting, and provide key insights that drive operational efficiency and profitability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will serve as a key business partner to operations, playing a hands-on role in standard costing, inventory management, and month-end processes while helping optimize our ERP system usage.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform standard cost updates, detailed variance analysis, and inventory accounting
• Support and lead month-end close processes, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting
• Own or support key modules in our manufacturing ERP system (Cost, Inventory, and Lot Trace)
• Maintain strong internal controls, segregation of duties, and provide audit support
• Analyze manufacturing costs and provide actionable recommendations to leadership
• Ensure compliance with lot traceability requirements in a regulated manufacturing setting
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality teams

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
• Strong experience performing standard cost updates, variance analysis, and inventory accounting
• Prior involvement in full month-end close processes
• Experience supporting or owning modules in an ERP system (manufacturing-focused ERP experience strongly preferred)
• Solid understanding of internal controls, segregation of duties, and audit readiness
• Experience with lot traceability or regulated manufacturing environments (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA a plus)
